Job Title: Software QA Engineer(Opening 2)

Candidate will be working at International Cable Set top Box BU in Cisco Shanghai, as a software test engineer for about 6 months, and at least 4 days per week. Good performance in intern period can be considerable to a candidate of regular employee after graduate.

Responsibilities:

1.Work as a QA Engineer for a large application in the domain of Digital TV/Cable Set Top Box, perform system integration test suites
2.Support vendor certification test
3.Support customer acceptance test for digital cable TV systems
4.Interact with a large pool of developers and work in conjunction with team leads, collaborate within the teams in India and USA.

Requirements:

1.2nd or 3rd year graduate students, preferably in electronics and communication or Computer Science from any recognized University. Certification or degree or diploma in QA and testing is preferred.
2.Ability to write shell scripts, basic understanding of any scripting language and familiarity with Excel
3.Experience in software or system test in Digital TV related area is a good plus
4.Knowledge on Digital TV, head end equipment, TVs, settop box (Broadcast, PVR) is preferred
5.Knowledge on DVB standards, MPEG audio and video (SD and HD) is preferred
6.Good command of written and spoken English
7.Hard-working, capability to learn fast, sense of confidentiality and ethics, willing to work to meet highly aggressive schedules and dynamic test environments
